What is the difference between an operator and a viewer?
Viewers can browse, search, and open supported files. Operators can connect AWS, extract archives, restore objects, invoke AI, manage cache, or change workspace configuration.
Are AWS and provider charges included?
No. AWS and connected providers bill infrastructure and service usage directly to the customer. The monthly BucketDesk price enables the plan’s software capabilities.
Does BucketDesk meter enabled features?
No. BucketDesk does not charge by archive GB, AI answer, cached GB, restore workflow, or file view. Provider charges and protective service quotas remain separate from software billing.
Which capabilities are available today?
Core browsing, previews, Office viewing, media, sharing, uploads, notifications, manual restoration and document-scoped AI are available. Archive processing remains limited while its job architecture is revised. Cache, agents, broader automation, ingestion and approvals remain planned.
Can a larger plan process an unsafe archive?
No. Expansion ratio, object count, collision, and destination controls apply across every plan. Paying for more capacity never bypasses platform safety limits.
Does “Want more?” promise a specific compliance certification?
No. The request path explores configurable identity, policy, capacity, security review, SLA, and support options. Certifications or dedicated architectures are not claimed unless separately verified and contracted.
